Ludivine Metairie

During a trip to India in December, 2015 for a contemporary dance festival, Ludivine discovered yoga and decided to train in tradition Hatha yoga at the a1000yoga school in Bangalore (Southern India) under the direction of Pradeep Gowda. Certified as an RYT-200 hour instructor by Yoga Alliance in March, 2017, she continued to study Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga at the Bindu Institute in Barcelona. She followed the teachings of Tiago Rocha and David Kyle and earned her Rocket Yoga certification in July, 2017. Since 2016, Ludivine has been teaching Vinyasa yoga and Yin yoga along with deep relaxation courses that combine gentle movement and meditation in French, English and Spanish. She gives private classes and works with small groups in collaboration with osteopaths and physical therapists for a holistic approach to energetic and emotional balance.

Trained in philosophy (she earned her Ph.D. from the Université de Paris I – La Sorbonne), contemporary dance (Masters from the Université de Paris 8 – Vincennes Saint-Denis), as well as in the circus arts, Ludivine has worked as a dancer-interpreter and choreographer for different projects often linked to themes of violence against women and fighting against discrimination. In addition to yoga, she teaches the movement arts and somatic practices at both the practical and the theoretical levels.
