bandhas: activate your subtle energy

Thanks to the bandhas, often translated as "energetic locks," you can learn to harness your vital life force in different places in the body to give your postural practice more fluidity and power. We will investigate the three principal bandhas: mula bandha (root lock), uddiyana bandha (belly lock) and jalandhara bandha (throat lock), as well as the more subtle pada bandha (foot lock) and hasta bandha (hand lock).

Breathing: what could be more common? But the air that we breathe in and out, usually without any awareness, can help us move towards who we fundamentally are. We will learn several pranayama techniques, as well as breathing movements (prana  vyayama), followed by a dynamic postural sequence and ending with more introspective Yin yoga work.
